FAQs

  • When waxing/sugaring, you will experience a sting after the hair is removed. Not to worry though, it only lasts about 3-5 seconds. Pressure is applied after the removal to minimize pain. Your skin might feel warm but you should not walk out in discomfort.

  • Oh no, your period just started and you have an appointment. Do not worry! It is totally normal to get waxed/sugared while on your period. Your skin may be a little more sensitive while on your period so it is up to you whether you want to get waxed or not. If you decide to continue with your appointment, just be sure to wear a menstrual cup or new tampon.

  • You want to grow out your hair for at least two weeks. As a visual you want your hair to be 1/4in or the length or an eyelash. The longer the hair, the better. You will get the best results that way!

  • Before your appointment, you want to make sure you drink plenty of water, exfoliate your skin with a dry brush or exfoliating glove and freshly showered. You do not want to drink any caffeinated beverages or alcohol since they can make your skin dry and sensitive.

  • Remember the four S’s for 24-48hrs

No swimming, soaking, sweating, or sex! Swimming or soaking in pools or jacuzzies can spread a bunch of unwanted bacteria/chemicals to your bare follicles and cause irritation/infection to the recently waxed area. Same goes for sweating and sex. While your follicles are bare and freshly waxed, you want to keep your skin dry and clean!

  • Stay hydrated, moisturize and exfoliate your skin 2-3 times a week. If you are prone to ingrown hairs or irritation, try adding a salicylic/glycolic cleanser or toner to your routine.
